This isnt something brand new but I just stumbled upon this because of an email sent to me by NJSPH.

It is an initiative sponsored by ASHP to promote the advancement of the pharmacy career by defining the future roles of pharmacists. It seems to be mostly focused on clinical pharmacy and the expansion of clinical services. There is going to be a summit meeting in November where a selected group of pharmacy leaders will present the ideas and goals behind this initiative.
"The goal of this initiative is to significantly advance the health and well being of patients by developing and disseminating a futuristic practice model that supports the most effective use of pharmacists as direct patient care providers."
Just wanted to get some opinions on this. Seems like a fantastic thing to me. Sorry if this is old news.
