I should add it will cost me around $500 to attend between flights, conference and hotel.

I would think it would be ok, but you will not know until you ask. The conference is in Kansas City, MO, not Kansas. Make sure you get a hotel close to the conference if you are not going to have a car.

Yes I do think it is worth your time. Programs (including mine) start recruiting at the conference. Be sure to check out East Tennessee family programs.

It was great last year. They also had a lot of scholarships available for students. It's worth applying tp defray the costs
