I need some advice from those of you who've experienced something like this. (Thanks for one response in other forum). I just took the DAT and did pretty well on all but the PAT--couldn't believe I only got 16 on that. Here are the scores:
AA: 21
PAT: 16
QR: 20
RC: 23
Bio: 19
GChem 25
Science 20
OChem 20

My overall GPA is 3.52 and Science is about 3.24. I had always done quite well on practice tests for PAT, but ran out of time on computer. I want to apply to UOP, UNLV, Arizona, Creighton, Marquette, Case and probably several more. Did this happen to any of you? Should I retake it anyway and risk lower scores on the rest? Will the low PAT eliminate me from some schools? Please let me know what you think...I'd appreciate any advice.

well, expect to get interviews/acceptances from all of those schools on your list.

not a guarantee, but a very good chance. your gpa and the rest of your scores will make up for the pat.

Of those schools, it's been suggested over and over that UOP loves high DAT scores, which is supported by their relatively high DAT averages compared to relatively low GPA averages for accepted students. If you're set on UOP, you might want to consider it, but I'd see if you can get an interview first. Otherwise, you should be in good shape at several of the other schools you've listed. The rest of your DAT scores are fantastic!

I think as long as you get your application in early and can do well in an interview you will be fine.

I know lots of folks with PAT scores like yours (or lower) and still got in. I think the rest of your scores and GPA will get you in the door, do well in the interview and you should be fine.

Hi-
Those were almost exactly my stats, but I also applied late and I still got in to alot of the schools I applied to. I think you shouldn't worry about retaking them. Just my opinion...good luck!
