If your teachers has given out a couple of tests by the time you ask for LOR, then there should be no harm done. Just make sure you communicate often with him or her, ace those tests, and give ample time for him or her to write the LOR. Just curious but if it is for the next cycle and not the current one, you can give him or her a heads up that you would like an LOR and give them about a month to write the letter until the app service opens up in June.
