Asking for LORS

Hello All,

I am currently in my second year of UG. I will be applying to medical school in 2 more years. If I ask for a LOR from a couple of professors, can I save them in interfolio?

Yeah you can, but you might want to ask later on so that the date is closer to your application date. Or you could ask now, save them, have them date it later on, etc. Or keep in contact / build a stronger relationship and ask later.

I agree with the above, build a stronger relationship. Take multiple courses with them if possible and go to office hours!

If you don't think you can develop more of a connection to your recommender over the next couple of years then it doesn't seem like it would be strong letter to begin with (sounds more like a "XXX" did well in my class, he's a good student). If you do think that, then don't ask for the letter now, ask for it closer to when you apply.

You should also consider asking for letters from upper division courses. You should ask them after the class is over. Many will ask for your PS, CV/Resume so probably you won't have a complete one until you are closer to applying. That's why intro bio/chem/o chem classes are not the best, IMO.
