**please do not quote**

Here is my situation: I am applying this cycle from a foreign country, where I am working with a well-established, reputable, long-term volunteer organization (not being a volontourist). I was planning on taking up to 4 weeks vacation time starting in the beginning of October for interviews. However, in order to plan a lot of complicated international and domestic travel in October, it will be incredibly helpful (if not necessary) to know about my status at schools well in advance (i.e did I get an interview or not)? What I want to avoid happening is flying home for interviews in October, only to return to my work and receive an interview invite in November, which I wouldn't be able to attend. Basically, I want to (very politely and respectfully) ask schools if it would be possible to consider my application in the first batch of applications they look at so I have enough time to coordinate travel and taking vacation.

I was originally planning on either explaining my situation in the "anything else" part of secondaries or sending a separate e-mail to the admissions department explaining my situation. But when I tried writing out the e-mail, I was told it sounded like I was asking for special treatment. My biggest fear is to sound too entitled. It was suggested that I e-mail a few deans of admissions to get their insight, which I plan on doing, but I also was curious if anyone else had any suggestions or ideas. Thank you for your time.

Awesome construction
