Hello,

I am a current Pain Fellow, from a PM&R background. I just wanted to get people's advice on the ASRA Workshops?

I've done the SIS Lumbar Course, which was really great and informative. Unfortunately, will be unable to attend the Cervical Course this year secondary to other obligations. So I was looking at ASRA's meeting in NY and they seem to have some wonderful workshop modules, including Cervical.

So I wanted to ask two questions:

1) Are their module workshops any good? Compared to SIS? Any information on this? Particularly from someone who has attended them?

2) Will ASRA be accommodating to people from PM&R Backgrounds? Or will this be a problem? I know some Anesthesia groups are a little apprehensive about people from PM&R Backgrounds.

Thanks

Is there a good source for these types of video lectures with fluoro pictures and explainations for those unable to attend in person?

Absolutely nothing from anyone? No one has ever been to it?

Love the ASRA meetings for networking. Recommend going to the attending level course if you can for the workshops if you are already good at fluoro (by April I’m sure you are)! I have gone to the trainee ones and they are good, but for a fellow close to graduating you’ll get more out of the attending level.

I am PM&R and it has been nothing but a great experience, no one has looked down their nose at me for being non-gas.
