I posted this before but now that I have my second MCAT score on hand, I'd like to know what you all think about my chances!
1st MCAT (9/3/08) = 30T, 10 on each section
2nd MCAT (7/30/09) = 35S, VR 11, PS 12, BS 12
cGPA = 3.6
sGPA = b/w 3.4-3.5 🙁(I brought in AP credits for Bio/Physics and received a C+ in chem b/c of poor planning for one of the exams so i didnt have a chance to bring my sGPA up with a whole lot of science courses)
-i did take upper level bio courses and received A's in them
Major: Psychology with Developmental Psychology concentration
EC's:
-Summer + Academic Year Internship Walter Reed Army Institute of Research - presented research at National Academy of Sciences..received Medal of Honor in Medical Research by a Lieutenant General
-Participation in on-campus organization - Active Minds - spreading awareness on mental health issues
-Certified as an EMT-B in DC and CNA in state of MD
-8 months experience as an ER technician - placing IV's, ekgs, wound care, splinting, workin codes, shadowing doctors, etc, etc
-2 months shadowing doctors at 2 different hospitals during a summer
-currently a Trauma/ER technician at GWU Level 1 trauma center (techs get to use US to place IV's HERE!!! so much fun😀...)
-3+ years of community service to cultural organization - on the Executive Board as a Director for 2 years-forming youth groups, writing articles in magazines
-3-4 years volunteering at a nursing home
-ACLS certified 😎
-Practicing as a Reiki Master for 4-5 years
-Alpha Chi Sigma Chemistry frat - community service events trying to get grade school students interested in science

So with my second MCAT's in, what are my chances for the schools listed or some of the more selective schools especially?
I know I will be competing against a lot of students with a plethora of research/ec's but does my application sound somewhat competitive for the schools I am applying for and do they make up for the GPA situation??
