Assigning a LoR before it's available in ERAS PostOffice

Hey, quick question.

I asked one of my attendings for a letter of recommendation last week and he agreed to write it. I've assigned a slot for it in ERAS and it's finalized. However, it has not yet been uploaded to the ERAS PostOffice. On ADTS, it says "Not Uploaded to the PostOffice". Can I assign the letter to Programs without it being uploaded to the ERAS postoffice? Or do I have to wait?

You can assign it. We won't see anything (i.e. we won't see that there is a letter pending). As soon as it's uploaded, it will be sent to programs. You can unassign it anytime before the letter is uploaded, and assign something else.
