Hey,

Did people make arrangements for hotels yet? Is anyone staying on the West side (Beverly Hills, Westwood, West Hollywood) or is everyone staying downtown? I just thought it would be nice to be halfway between the beach and the convention center, and a lot closer to the night life?

Is it prohibitive to be that far out? I know LA reasonably well, but I haven't traveled during rush hour. Is ASTRO having shuttles or anything to the convention center?

For those who are interested in the hotels downtown, Google Maps Street View provides a pretty cool way to get a perspective of the area.

I snagged the main "fantasy suite" at the Figuera Hotel for the cost of a simple room elsewhere downtown. Anyone up for a party at my place?

i decided against the figuera after the "good" rooms were taken and my LA pals advised against the downtown area. But im all up for the party at Figuera's fantasy suit. see you there.
