Hello!

I am a Bachelor of Arts student finishing my undergrad degree at a respectable Canadian university. I currently have a GPA of 3.75, did a fair amount of community volunteer work, shadowing, no research or academic activity in the biomedical sciences field. I applied to the Dental Science programs at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and University College Cork (UCC) through the Atlantic Bridge Program. Right now, I am also considering applying to the Medicine program (especially at TCD). I really, really, wish to study in Ireland this fall!

I am not sure, what the chances of getting accepted into Medicine, versus the possibilities with Dental Science are? It seems that the GPA requirement for Medicine is higher than that of Dentistry, but I do not know if this means it is more competitive among the international applicants. And there is no clear information/statistics for students accepted in previous years so it's difficult to know.

Any help or comments would be appreciated! 🙂

All I know is that it's much harder for international students to get in both medicine and dental programs.

I imagine the trend still applies.
