ATSU DPT Interview
Started by robertcb
The class is full as of now. They use a ranking system for the waitlisters so if a person pulls out the #1 spot will be called first for the opening and you move up the list. If you don't get in you are guaranteed a spot in the next years class. ( at least that's how it was when I was there) definitely email to see your optionsI got accepted pending an open seat in ATSU DPT program (AZ)... anyone else?
Anyone have more info on what this means?

I have declined my spot. Hopefully it helps. Good luck
I go interview invite
"Your application for admission to A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona has been reviewed and we are pleased to invite you to our campus for an interview.
We want to notify you that due to high demand and limited seats, we are interviewing pending an open seat in the class". Traveling will cost about $500 airfare and hotel. Since the remaining interviews are in April, is it worth it?. What is the likelihood of an open seat to materialized.

There's really no way of knowing if you will get pulled off the waitlist, however with ATSU you should have the option of participating in a video interview. I interviewed with ATSU via video chat back in December and was granted conditional acceptance, so opting for the video interview rather than the in person interview should not affect you negatively.

Fresh ATSU DPT grad here. The interview is cake, just be yourself and answer questions with maturity + intelligence and you will do great. One piece of advice, take it or leave it, exhaust public program options first before accepting the offer from ATSU. Private school tuition is incredibly expensive. Only accept the offer at ATSU if you absolutely cannot get into a cheaper program! Second piece of advice if you decide to accept a seat. Don't put up with disorganization! Many people in my class we're disappointed due to multiple miscommunications between faculty/directors and students. Confusions with licensing, graduation, and contradictory statements provided from directors + faculty because no one knew what was going on within their own program! You will be paying ALOT of money for this education, demand that your cohort be treated professionally and with respect for your investment!
There were many problems within my cohort specifically (cheating, favoritism, disorganization within the program itself), so future cohorts may have a different experience. However if I could go back in time, I would have chosen another program.
