Pros:

• Cheaper
• Closer to home (7.5 hr drive)
• Kycom advantage
• Faculty seemed to care a lot about their students

Cons:

• Worse board scores

ATSU-KCOM
Pros:

• More established (how important is this?)
• Better rotation sites for 3rd and 4th years (more options that are closer to home in MI)
• Ultrasound curriculum
• Good board scores

Cons:

• Way more expensive
• Further away from home (10 hr drive)

Any help/advice deciding between the two would be very helpful!

About $10,000/year

Up to you if you want to save the money. KCOM is the oldest DO school and students tend to care most about where the clinical sites will be. Would be nice if you have a spot very close to where you live in MI. I don't see the 7.5 hr drive vs 10 hr drive as a distinct pro/con. You will not be able to drive home from either school.

People from KCOM can always take weekend trips to Kansas City or Des Moines if they want things they can find only in an urban environment.
