Even though I'm not an international dental student, since the majority of topics regarding NDBE pertain to both international and current dental students, I've spent a fair amount of time in here. I was going to comment in the thread after those from FOBdentist where he was slammed for speaking his mind, but figured I'd start a new thread.
In a few weeks several students that took the written exam will be getting their scores back. Whether they want to admit their scores or not, most will be happy just to have passed. A score over 80 is a good score, a score over 90 is a great score. I don't want to be labeled as an A-hole, but some of these threads seem to have turned into a support group for dental students. I feel like I should grab a tissue sometimes. I got an 85 and I was happy as hell, I'm reading and getting the notion that I need to retake it because of all the support others are getting for such an okay score.
I'm happy to see that this is a place where people can come with their problems, I've had many solved here myself. But it seems to me like we could tone down the sympathy, I feel like someone died around here.

hey.......we all are here to support each other when needed......we all are a part of this forum.we have every right to speak our mind yet follow certain rules.......why resent when members support each other. If u get a score u are not happy with and u write to SDN.......why do u do that??for some sort of solace or support :u r sure of.........now if someone hurls something bad towards u........should other members ratify it???

and yes we all are adults...grown up mature people......we just ask for suggestions and make personal choices.....who makes choices without ones own choice.......do u???so do not hold it against others if support a particular cause.......

and yes if u want to retake the test.....thats your choice.....all the best...we all will support u for that as well.......if no then u can post and no of people will come up with the list of colleges u can apply towards......i find it so wonderful........its a great forum........lets contribute towards it.........we lost members like mrinalini cos of these attacks by other members........

all the best to all....
