I'll be going too, if I don't hear from LLU... Definitely liked it better, but still gotta take a lot of things into consideration. We will know for sure if the 1st stage of accreditation is complete by Feb, after which all of us attending should be safe.

The tuition is so expensive in western!!!

I just visited your Predents and Western is definitely cheaper than USC or NYU (I think). Not sure about Buffalo.. And that may also be a big deciding factor in where you go. Good luck to you whereever you go and congratulations on your acceptances. Oh! And awesome job with your DAT's!!

Anyone slightly nervous about Western's accreditation situation?? I was thinking of putting down a deposit for Western and another school just in case they don't get initial accreditation in January. Anyone else a bit scared about starting in a brand new school?

I spoke with CODA, and they said there is pretty much nothing to worry about. Either way, the first class will graduate from an accredited school.

I guess there is no way to tell 100% about accreditation but in all honesty based on the fact that Rosemary Monehen and Dr. Koelbl are both associated with the ADA accreditation committee I find it highly unlikely that accreditation will be an issue. As for being a charter class I think there will definitely be some kinks to work out. However, I feel a major plus is that the whole administration and faculty have a common goal and vision so I think it'll be smoother than we think. Thats just my opinion though...

Do you think there application process will be a bit longer since so many people have mentioned that if they were accepted to other schools other than western they would go to that school? Just wondering because I would love an interview there and if more people bail tht means more spots will open up...no?

Thats a tough question to answer but I think the main issue is that their class size is small (64 seats). So it won't be terribly difficult to fill up the class. Last year there was a similar situation at Midwestern. They ended up pulling a lot of people in off the waitlist. So to answer your question my guess would that they won't necessarily send out more interviews but they pull a large amount of people off the waitlist. I hope you get the interview and goodluck!
