Hi,
I was wondering what the schedule is usually like for first-year students. Are we usually in class all day long? At the welcome reception a second year mentioned that students get Fridays off...how common is this? Also, do you think textbooks are essential to your pharmacy education? As an undergraduate I usually didn't buy textbooks because there seem to be an awful lot of information in the texts that the teacher never touched and all important points were covered in class. My grades always worked out fine regardless of not buying books. Do you think this would be the same case next year?

Thanks for all future input!

First semester:
Monday to Thursday-
Classes from 8 or 9 to 11 or noon.

Friday
Classes from 9 a.m to 3 p.m

Clerkship (1 month each semester):
Monday- Leadership training from 1 to 4 p.m
Wednesday & Thursday- clerkship site from 1 to 6 p.m

The only book I bought for 1st semester is the Biosystem book. You do not really need any other book because the lecture notes are good enough. I would save my money for the tuition! 👍
