Attention..NYU applicants..

To all those appliying to NYU BE CARFULL the dounloadable application form says that the application fee is 35$,while in fact it is 75$.I am posting this info coz when I called NYU to check if they have recieved my app the lady told me that they will send me back my money order ,and I have to send them a new one of 75$.This will delay my app processing.

sam is right.i got a application form from nyu and it says that the application fee is $75.just call nyu and confirm once again about the status of ur application.

I do not know what to tell you in fact,coz after sending my app 10 days ago,I was browsing throug NYU site and I read somewhere that the app fee is 75$.I was surprised.I called them yesterday and the lady told me YES the new fee is 75$.So I will send them a new money order.It is up to U what to do...you can call them...if U want.

i got a letter from NYU that my application was complete then i have an interview scheduled next thursday.....i am a little worried now,the only thing i can think of is taking the money with me for the interview i will be leaving on wednesday

if u have the interview scheduled on thursday i think it is better to take the money order with you to the interview in case they ask.also when did u apply to nyu?maybe the application fee was $35 when u applied.so do not worry.all the best for your interview.do write about ur interview experience after u come back.once again,wish you best of luck.

hi shilpi,
if they have not told u anything about the fees then u must have submitted ur applicatoin while the fee was $35. and they must have increased it later.
if you are concerned about it, u can always call them and find out. but u shud not really have any problems because of the fees, as u have already been called for the interview.

Shilpi, don't take cash with you. Bring either a money order or a check.

thanks can i take a personal check with me?......but for this forum i would have never known that they increased their application fee..still i wonder why would they send me a letter that my application is complete they could have said i ahve to pay $75 and i wouild have had peace of mind.....

Well same thing happened to me i mailed 35 $ and i got a letter from the univ that my application was completed. And later on i saw on their web site that the fee was 75 i called the uni and they told me that if u applied before Aug then u dont have to pay more. So shilpi dont worry u dont have to pay more and if u got the interview that means that ur fee was okay they wount call u until ur application is completer

I think u should check with toefl , Nyu woun't process ur application until ur toefl is there and if they didnt say anything about the money dont worry about it .When did u apply? i applied before aug and they didnt recive my NBDE score till sep so i havent heard from them yet.

Shilpi i am not going to do anything about the money cuz the lady i talked to assured me that my application is completed. Call them if u still confused ? i think ur okay
