For all you NC pharmacists out there there is a vote today concerning state insurance patients having to get mail order after 2 fills. Below is form we have been handing out to state employees. Add the name and number of your local congressmen and distribute.
ATTENTION
NC STATE EMPLOYEES!!!
The NC Senate is trying to send your prescriptions to mail order!!!
The NC Senate has a bill in process right now that would REQUIRE State Employees to fill their maintenance prescriptions through the Medco Mail Order facilities or within a restricted network. All specialty prescriptions (meaning any prescription costing over $400) would have to come from Medcos specialty pharmacy! By using this $400 dollar limit that means most prescriptions (and the money they generate) would be moved out of North Carolina to the Medco mail order facilities in New Jersey & Arizona. This would be very devastating to NCs community pharmacies and their employees!
CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR TODAY!

Ask them to STOP SB-287 which proposes to make the State Employees Health Plan a mandatory mail order or restricted network plan! Ask them why North Carolina would send money & jobs to New Jersey & Arizona in this or any economy!
Call other Senators near your area as well!
