Thought I'd start a thread on Auburn. From last years acceptance thread it appears OOS interviews are held early February. But I've not heard a peep out of them. Anybody else heard anything? Maybe a current student can fill us in.

I remember getting a phone call asking if I could come in and interview that Friday (it was a Monday in February). I was in Florida so I asked if it could be a later date and she said no problem and I interviewed around Feb 18.
Then I was waitlisted after my interview and got a phone call on April 15 (or whatever day was the final decision date for everyone else).

Hey I'm an OOS applicant too, and I still haven't heard anything. Does anyone know if they are going to be informing us via email or regular snail mail?? I keep checking my emails like crazy! I'm going insane:scared:
 
Just wanted to let all of you know that as an OOS with a contract with Auburn, I had just received an email for interview invite on March 16.

For those of us non-contract OOS, competing for about 10 spots, I suspect the interview dates will be different.....but glad to hear there is movement.

Now if anyone non-contract OOS got an e-mail, spit it out, then the rest of us can begin to "officially" worry.

I am non-contract OOS, and still have not heard anything.

but every time i see that number. . . .10. . . . .i lose hope.
so let's not mention it again. . . .ok?🙁
 
Hey ya'll I just wanted to let ya'll know that I called the admissions department today at Auburn and asked when they would be sending out notifications. They told me they were still reviewing applications and that they should be sending out interview invitations next week!!!

But I did talk with one of my friends who applied and she said that she already got a rejection letter in the mail a month ago. So I'm guessing they sent early rejection notifications and I'm hoping that if we haven't heard till now then maybe we are up for an interview??? Hopefully!:xf:

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let y'all know that I received an email from Auburn this morning with information about interviews. I'm OOS/non contract, and my interview is scheduled sometime between Feb 9th and Feb 13th. They said that a letter containing the exact date and time will be mailed out tomorrow. 😀

the email said that they will snail mail our interview dates/times next week.
all I know is that it is the week of Feb 9-13

And I would def appreciate anyone showing me around 😀
 
No problem! I'd be glad too. You'll probably get a 'real' tour but I'd love to show you around the school and the town (as small as it may be) if you'd like. I'm from a small town, so I really like Auburn (Dreamvet- I'm from vero beach! so hello fellow floridian)
Don't sweat the interview. They are very nice. Everyone at Auburn is!

got it on Monday
But I had to reschedule it cause it was the same date as my vmrcvm interview
Now I have vmrcvm on 10th, auburn on 13th, and Minnesota on 14th
Hope my flights come through...
 
Yes, I've received my confirmation letter with the exact date and time. I received it on Saturday (1/31). Incidentally, my receipt of the letter was after I received the email asking if I had confirmed, however we've had some GNARLY weather up here in Indiana recently.....so perhaps the mail was slightly delayed. Have you not received yours yet?
 
I spoke with the associate dean today about Kentucky applicants. She said they are mailing the interview invitations for Kentucky during the last week in February and the interview dates are slated for March 16-20.

In case anyone was still curious.

Hey y'all! Just wanted you to know that I got my letter today, and I'm OOS (Indiana), so all of the OOS-ers should be hearing soon.

I've been accepted!!! Good luck to everyone applying this cycle! Go Tigers! 😀
 
Thank you! I'm still in shock!!! Truth be told, I haven't decided yet. I interview with Purdue (my IS school) next Friday, and I'm still waiting to hear back from UTK. Purdue and Auburn are my top choices, so I'm still in that "wait-and-see" mode. I was born and raised in GA, so it would really be nice to go back south....esp now as I look out my window at the snowy mess that once was a city street! Hahahaha

I'm still learning how this forum works..could you PM me? I have some questions!! 🙂

I just got an acceptance letter from Auburn!!! I'm from Florida and I interview there in two weeks, so my decision about where to go (also got accepted to Mizzou, Cornell, CSU, and Oregon State) just got tougher. I liked Auburn because it was relatively close to home and I really liked the campus. Not to mention Kiesel Park is a big plus!
 
I think there is definitely something wrong with my mail. 😡

I just called auburn and they said that they mailed me my admissions status last tuesday --> I haven't received anything yet.
University of Florida also told me that they mailed me my interview invitation last tuesday (I know because I emailed them and they told me I have an interview) --> I haven't received anything from them either.

ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!! :bang:
 
I spoke too soon. . . .

just got my rejection letter.

At least I already have 3 acceptances under my belt (and 5 more schools to hear from)

Okay, welcome a noob, lol. What is OOS? Auburn is where I will be attending (fingers crossed), but I am new to the attending college thing. Help?

Haha, my interview was at 8am. Sorry, you can see how often I check this forum. No, this is the first year I've applied.

I went on the tour at 11. So I imagine I was gone before you arrived. Hope your interview went well. 🙂
 
Hey mxmerc, I was wondering if you had heard anything from Auburn? I thought the interview this year was very laid back, probably more so than last year. Kaye said that she would mail the interview result letters either Wed, or Thurs. I haven't seen an email or otherwise, so I was wondering if anyone out there could shed some light on the fact if they have heard anything!!! 😱😱:scared:
 
I received an e-mail this morning from Auburn. The letters were put in the mail this morning. Hope everyone receives good news.
 
I know that oos contract letters for Kentucky students started being received today. I am not home to check the mail. So, I do not know yet. Hope you all here good news.
 
I received my letter from Auburn on Monday (3/30). I got accepted! YooHoo!:soexcited: This was the second year I applied and only applied to Auburn.
 
That's WONDERFUL! I'm going to Auburn, too! I'm so happy that I'm no longer the only CO 2013 student on SDN anymore! 😀 Will you be going to the Family Night/Open House in April? Are you on Facebook?

I'm so happy for you! Yay Class of 2013!!
