Hi Everyone, For those of you who took the AUG MCAT this past aug, do you feel that you had a really big disadvantage? if possible, i would love to hear from people who have had low gpa's and took the aug mcat. i feel that i will have to take it then to get a competitive score. thanx. susan

Absolutely not. And don't listen to anyone who tells you differently, either. THe only advantage of taking the April test is having your application considered earlier by admissions committees. THat's it! Most schools have "quality control" anyway, so they don't accept too many people early on in the interview season. Don't worry. Almost half of MCATers take the August test, so you're not alone. I took the AUgust test (my fourth time actually) and have three acceptances so far. BEst of luck to you and feel free to ask me anything else...
