August 7 test date bad?

I'm scheduled for an August 7 test date. Does this mean that I will be testing and graded against FMG's or will I be in the same grading pool as test takers from earlier in the season who took the same exam form as me? any ideas?
Why would it be bad to be graded against FMG's? Wouldn't that be a positive?

Most of the FMG's that I know studied for the USMLE for 1-2 years and scored above 250.

That's funny because they have a 60% pass rate. 😍
EDIT: That brings up a good point. Are failing scores included in the scale?

when do most people who fail the exam first time around usually re-take the exam?

In their next life. 😱
Okay, is this true, will taking the exam late as in around october, make it harder to score well, since you are going up against FMGs?suckerfree said:Hi,

I'll say it again, FMG's have a 60% pass-rate, what are you people talking about?

That must explain why they are readily accepted into ACGME residency programs.
NOT.
They traditionally do terribly on the exam. The "people you know" are likely lying.

Umm, that's a bit harsh. I know a bunch of IMGs who have scored over 250. Of course, there are thousands of IMGs who have scored much less than that, even failed, but to say people are lying is just ******ed.
Pol.

As im implying that they do better than U.S. medical students.

I agree with Pollicis on this one. While it's true that IMG's have a low passing rate overall, the IMG's you see in the States are the ones who actually matched. IMG's who match generally have very competitive board scores, among other things.

If they are American medical graduates they might take it in september or october so they can continue their studies (in late october or early Nov.) and not waste a year by graduating late. At least that's what they do in my school.

Perhaps, but the topic at hand was discussing all FMG's that take the exam at a given time, not the ones that do well.
