I have personally talked to someone at the CDB office and was informed that the August RT exam is reserved for applicants who were not accommated in the previous scheduled exams. This means that NEW applications will not be entertained. So are re-takes. And this will be basically the same scenario for the PENDING October exams--till all those who were unscheduled get their chance.
So if you have not filed your application last April, your best bet is an EXTENSION of the RT exams, for which a petition is already filed in congress. Chances are dim that you will sit in the exam this year,or ever (if the bill is not signed by Davis).
However, I think an extension of the RT exam deadline to next year at least, is not far-fetched. Since there are only about 250 seats in the exam and at least 1000 rejected applications from last May(and maybe a few hundred more from previous exams), then there should be a least 4 more exams that need to be administered.
From this info, I deduce that if you have never applied for the exam, you might expect to be admitted late next year or 2005:-(
Then again, ONLY if the RT exam deadline is extended.
