Is it late to take the test in august and decrease the chances to get in significantly. I am currently scheduled for the 10th. When do people taking in august get their interviews from schools. I am kind of very worried that I am taking it late and will not land up with interviews.

interviews dont start until september. your not that late in the game your probably still in the middle. im also taking it in august. its ok what can you do. did you esubmit your app at least? that process takes the longest item you should def do that NOW!

i'm taking it an august too! i was really worried about it being late! I'm glad someone thinks it's not! my cousin applied to med school on the last day and got in with slightly above average stats. i know it's not the same, but their process is similar!

annie as long as your application is submitted now, then you're probably in good shape. it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get the app processed. you can then try to call schools and ask them if a faxed copy of your dat score is acceptable.

i've been calling around to schools, as im in this same boat (late Aug. DAT / app already submitted and completed w/ mailing out).
Most schools are hesistant/persisten in not accempting faxed or emailed pdf copies of score reports. but that's just depending on where you've applied..hopefully some of them are open to the idea at least!

if not then thats that. what can you do? just and hope for the best!
