August MCAT and apps for Fall '06

I'm going to be taking the MCAT in August -- I have read on many of the school websites that the April sitting is recommended. How do you think this will affect my app process (delaying it, getting secondaries, interviews, etc) and to what degree will it be detrimental to my app?
