August Mcat/application Question

If you are taking the August MCAT with no previous MCAT scores, is it true that your application won't be looked at until those scores are posted (which is in October)? One of my friends is freaking out about turning his application in, but I was thinking that it didn't really matter because they won't review an application without every needed piece of info (including MCAT scores). Thanks!
