August MCAT'ers! List your interviews here!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Am I the only one who is becoming bitter and pessimistic about the remainder of this admissions season? I am really starting to doubt my chances at the schools where I am waiting post-secondary.

I WOULD NOT WISH THE AUG MCAT ON MY WORST ENEMY!!!!

i'm a little pessimistic but am trying not to lose hope. i think we still have a decent shot at interviews at some of the schools. if i've not heard by mid-february i'll start to completely lose hope. a few of the schools i've applied to interview well into spring and have not filled interview spots late into the year yet.

i posted this before somewhere:
when i called tufts a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago now (right before the holidays), they said they hadn't even looked at my app yet. they are really slow with reviewing august mcat apps, so i wouldn't be surprised if they haven't invited people for interviews. hopefully they'll get their act together soon. i'd love to interview at tufts (since damn bu rejected me pre-interview).

Check your mailboxes soon! I got the invite yesterday (dated January 10).

anyone else hear from tufts? i ran to my mailbox in angst, only to receive a tulane rejection. :(

athena :( tedstriker's in boston, so maybe the tufts invite hasn't made it to your neck of the woods yet. i'm on hold at tulane (or was... hopefully that rejection isn't on its way) and just received a northwestern rejection. :( oh well. didn't expect an interview anyway.

Lola, was your NU rejection pre-secondary/pre-interview or post-interview? Just curious cause I haven't heard boo from them. It keeps saying "your app is under consideration" on the website.

it was post-secondary, pre-interview. app complete a looooong time ago. at least they notify people of their status, unlike some other lame schools i won't mention. the website still says my app is under consideration.

I don't wanna check my mail anymore. I sent NU a letter of interest last week, really buttering them up and stating why I love their program. I'm praying a rejection letter isn't crossing paths with my letter to them in the postal bins (I already had that happen to me earlier in the app season)!:(

i was going to do that too. guess it's too late now
good luck to you! you may just get an interview invite... you never know with these silly schools.

can someone add a BU interview for me. just got the request today, probably going Jan 31. Thanks ahead of time, I always mess up the quotes things so i don't add for myself anymore! :)

Sorry I don't remember the dates these were received and don't know how to add to the list... but to give hope to Aug MCAT people... I got a 28R and did not have my secondaries in until Nov..
have gotten interview invites so far from Univ of Miami, Drexel, George Washington, Northwestern and on hold at UC Irvine and UCSD.

Good luck to all Aug people, esp. those of you trying to keep your chin up with lower than average MCAT scores or GPA :)

Um, can someone add a Duke interview for me. I just got the email. I think I'm gonna go into shock now.
Thanks.

I find it a little odd that supposedly today is the last day that Harvard interview invites were going out and yet not a single August MCATer has posted about getting one...did anyone get one?? I find it kind of tough to believe no one did...

WOW!! that would really suck if they didn't offer ANY august mcaters an interview. i know this board is a small sampling of the applicant pool, but you'd think at least one person would have been offered an interview. boy wonder, i was expecting YOU to get that interview. what happened??? :D

hey fellow august mcaters,
i've resorted to anxiously await the mailman again, though i believe the schools i'm waiting for send out email invites...i'm losing hope, so please motivate us by listing your interview invites! good luck this week!
