Anyone here ever worked for Aurora Pathology? rumor has it they don't cover malpractice or health/dental insurance to their pathologists. this sounds ludicrous. any ideas where they start salary wise?

That does sound ludicrous. That might be true for some employees but I doubt for the physicians. Maybe there are some who are treated as independent contractors or something and aren't full time? That might explain it. If it's true for full time employed physicians that's abominable.

If that is true, they are all independent contractors. Send people packing when business is down or lawsuit. Replace with another pawn. The mba doesn't want the md to screw up their business. Not surprising to believe....i mean how tough is it to hire a full time pathologist.

I thought that this Board was widely read. No one from Aurora on this Board? Or is Aurora scrutinizing their pathologists very tightly?

Aurora has a board on Cafepharma. It's a website for sales reps BUT you can get some good information there. Stories seem to break on that website first. I've found out about many acquisitions in my territory, on that site, well before they hit the news.

there won't be an interview, which is why i'm reaching out. its a question of whether to endure a buy-out without any equity in the matter, and with another opportunity waiting in the wings
