hey whournameiz, i'll be more than happy to.
i took the kaplan course this spring semester in austin. i thought it was excellent. it was a lot of work since i was taking 14 hrs of engr. bull**** and studying for the mcat.

the pluses:
their instructors are awesome, especially for the sciences. the classrooms are very nice too with fairly large amt of desk space. the training lib is full of all kinds of stuff.

the minuses:
they remain closed on fridays.
however, all the stuff is online so thats not as big a problem as one might think.

if you have any more qns please go ahead and ask.

🙂 😀

good luck on the mcat.

What's up, welcome to Austin. I personally took the Princeton Review and would recommend it. However, I haven't heard anything bad about Kaplan so I'm sure you'll be fine. Princeton review is on campus [Dobie] and they set up 5 realistic MCAT tests that you take in a room full of others so it's just like test day...well almost hehe. Anyways my AIM screen name is available by my name so IM me if u have questions.

I PMed you guys but basically:

I was hoping to find a place to live near UT or the kaplan center. If you know of any Apt complexes or how I can find people looking for roomates that would be very helpful!

Also, is there somewhere on the UT campus where someone will profread essays/secondaries or just help with applications?

How do UT students find out about volunteer events and jobs?

And

Is it hard for a graduate to find a job in Austin? I was thinking an ER job, research or YMCA job.

Thanx

university towers is an apartment/dorm that is located directly above kaplan, if thats your thing. as for the other stuff, talk to the health professions office, they might not be useless.

and if you have any questions, make sure you IM sitra achra, he knows the answer to everything!!!!
