Dear Pre-meds,

I would like to give my opinion that Australia is on the tail end of being "worth it",investment wise given the money 300K-400 Canadian and time investment. With DO schools popping up in the USA and tightening residency spots in USA /Canada, it is becoming not worth it in my opinion.I believe past 2026, given the prices, and tightening policies of North America, it is better not to involve yourself.

Australia also can be a bit of a backwards place for North Americans. Just fair warning.

Thanks.

If you are planning on doing primary care in Canada forget it its never going to be worth it. You will be paying off debts post residency for 4-5 years.

I just want to say over 200 k usd tuition not worth it, because that means 5-6 of repayment. At 150 Canadian take home post taxes and overhead in primary care ( likely for CSA/IMG), you are looking at 5-6 years of repayment of debt if you are frugal post residency.
