Autopsy scut

for the current residents out there- i am curious how much scut is involved in your autopsy work- meaning- how much help do you get from assistants. how much clean up work is expected. does someone set up the room or are is it left up to you? do you have to run the bowel, ect?

i ask this stuff because recently at my program we are expected to do more -almost everything- from set up to clean up and almost everything in between. i often wonder what surgery residents would do if they were told to be scrub nurse, first assist and than clean up......anyway- just curious what is going on at other programs

When I did my PSF I often had to do some cleanup - nothing in regards to the body but had to do some cleaning of the station where I worked. At my current program I don't have to do much of it. They generally run the bowel too unless I decide I want to do it (which depending on the case I do).
