I am the only one i guess...no wonder I get no interviews...

I got rejected from AZDOH and Temple today by mail🙁
I previously got rejected by Colorado, UNLV and case

I don't think I am competitive at all...it will take an act of god for me to get oin this year🙁

Don't worry! I got several rejections last year (from 3 out of the 4 schools you already listed) before I got invited for my first interview. How many schools did you apply to?

there is something about my application ot what not...I am getting rejected left and right...
to be honest with you i am going to look overseas for any opportunity because I don't want to wait for another year...yes, my scores are not that high but i worked hard for them...a lot of volunteer work since early 2000 and job experinece, engineer and 3.05GPA over all and 2.9 science ( i have 100 science unit cuz i did enginerring) and 18-19-21 DAT...i know my score are low but I think that noo one can quantify me based on those numbers...I did engineering in 4 yrs and yes, it was hard and yes, i don't have a 4.0...dat, i studied hard for it and i don't know what else to do...i am seriously considering overseas...i hav a lot respect for those who are getting interviews now😉

Those are the subcategories of how the DAT's are scored....AA=Academic Average which is a normalized score (sorta average) of all the sections of the DAT (except PAT)....TS=Total Science score which is, again, the average of your Bio, Orgo, General Chem sections on the DAT....PAT=Perception which is a special section on the DAT which doesn't get averaged into the AA or the TS....i'm sorry...I probably confused you even more....

Have you Applied to NYU or BU at all? NYU excepts a 3.1. Sure it costs a crap load. But if you want it bad enough you'll spend the money😀

Hang in there - I think your engineering background is a plus. And schools still offer interviews well into the new year - I got one invite at the end of January and one in mid Feb. last year.

I got waitlisted at both (but got into NYU Dec 1 - so I'll be going there next year - I deferred). But still, there were plenty of people from my interview groups who got accepted. I was trying to focus on the positive for you 🙂

I understand that a lot of the people on this website have higher than average scores. I guarantee you that scores of 19 and above are not average. The average DAT score resides somewhere around 16 or 17, this is based off of the DAT results compiled by the ADA from 2006 to june 2007. Just to make people feel better, I received at DAT score of 17NS, 17AA, and 20PAT and have now received interviews at Minnesota, Midwestern, and Marquette. My GPA is nothing special either with a cumulative of 3.27 and science of 3.1. I do however have a wide variety of extracurricular activites, voulnteer work, and am continually updating schools of my current events etc....It is important to remember the that many schools are looking for a holistic applicants. Anyways, Good luck to all of you!

i feel you, but it's better than throwing something you love for something you don't. you have many years ahead of you. i was pre-pharm 1.5 years ago. did everything for it even the PTCB and throw that out the window because i found myself in dentistry.

Don't lose hope, buddy. Your post-bacc GPA is super high and you did well on your DATs. Plus, you applied to many schools. It is still early in the game. 🙂
