Unlike midiland (not to pick on you, but I'm just basically looking for an opinion like you) who has nice DAT scores, I'm in a slightly different situation:

My GPA is about 3.48 and 20/21/18, with a 17RC

I only applied to 9 schools last cycle (and late, in mid October) --> got me nowhere. What about this time for a decent shot (like at least 3 or 4 interviews and 1 or 2 acceptances?). Is 15 schools okay?

I find that with these AVERAGE scores, it's sooo confusing because anything could just break or make your acceptance since like 10,000 other ppl have similar stats as u...any ideas? im international as well, btw. and besides the obvious private schools, which state schools should i look into with my stats?

Which schools did you apply to? Your stats look good. Maybe you applied to late. But with those stats you should feel confident.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that you applied late. Apply to 15 schools this time around and do it in May/June and I think you should be OK.

Ur stats are good...just apply in June/ July, u will get in definitely. My stats sucks! and I still got 3 interviews because I applied in June and completed everything in July. However, I got in nowhere. Gud luck to u!

Thanks. your DAT score is not that far away from mine and besides, ur GPA is about 0.3 higher than mine. so although this is my first time applying, i think u should be able to get in somewhere

Your DAT is good, so don't sell yourself short on that. I suspect that your international status may have something to do with it. How are your EC's?

okay!! shunwei, without doubt, u must be the person with the highest gpa and dat scores yet. omg, those are crazy high scores. humanly impossible. good job!!!

ok bak to me, haha. my ec's are ok. not that good b/c i have not published anything nor joined any major clubs. i do have research experience at a renowned children's hospital in toronto....for 1 year and shadowing with 3 dentists...im guessing nowadays, that quite isn't enough. did a community kitchen volunteer and hospital volunteering too.
