Average Improvement from NBME

I have enjoyed reading everyone else's posts and now it is time for my own!

I took NBME form #2 on Saturday and got a 560 (232). My original goal was 230+ but I am scared that I will start forgetting all I did in the begining! My exam is in 2 weeks so I am wondering how much I can hope to improve between now and then. What is the average improvement from an NBME 2 weeks out. I have yet to finish pharm, biochem, anatomy, neuro, and embryo!

I think it differs for anyone so its hard to make a general statement on how much improvement you can make in 2 weeks. Regardless in a week and a half I went up 15 points after doing questions, i'm finishing up my second review of everything so hopefully i'll go up another 30 on form 3 which i'm taking this thursday, which will have been another week and a half...

I took form 2 on Sunday (530=226) and im also aiming for 230+, but i only have one week left. So i decided to devote Mon-Thurs on my weak topics, read through FA fri and saturday, take sunday off, and then take the test monday. It might help if you just scanned through the stuff you did at the beginning in your 2nd to last week (assuming you already feel comfortable knowing it all) and then concentrate on weak areas/FA in the last week. The same thing happened to me...after 3 weeks of studying, last week i found myself starting to get fuzzy on those glycogen storage disease questions so i just did a quick review and it seemed to totally refresh my memory.

anybody know if there is a way to convert the 3 digit score to percent score and vice versa (for the released nbme forms) or is that something the nbme keeps secret? just curious as to what percent correct you have to get right to get a XXX score...

Why don't you look through past "Experiences" threads, where many posters have put their NBMEs, when they took them, and how they did, hm?

yeah this is actually what i was doing... thought it might be faster if the formula was already out there though..
