Average Step 1 and match rates for most specialties

This was posted over at the ENT forum. It is similar to the "charting the outcomes" publication from AAMC which has 2005 data. This file is mostly ENT specific but there are two slides with averages Step 1's and match rates for the 2006 match

Some Tidbits. Derm has the highest avg step 1 at 241 followed by ENT at 239. Integrated plastics is about 238. The same pattern holds for AOA status. Integrated plastics has the lowest match percentage at ~ 50% followed by derm, TY, then ENT.

Optho was a mean of 231 last year and 230 in 06 got to SF Match for the info.

And I know someone well ask about neuro surg as well, so NS was 236 last year and 234 in 06.
