So, i keep seeing interview invites from everyone on SDN, but not for me. If you apply to around 30 schools, does anyone know on average the length of time to receiving an interview invite from being complete. I know it varies by each school, but overall how many would you expect after 6-8 weeks or is that generally early still?

Depends on the school and your application. For instance, it took Case Western like a day or two to give me an invite after I was complete there. But other schools like Wake Forest - took like 3-4 weeks.

Hopefully you'll get some soon, because I wouldn't want to be too far into October without invites. What state are you from?

Also depends on when you apply. If you apply really early, there are fewer apps for the office to deal with and evaluate. The later you apply, their stack keeps getting bigger and bigger and there's a log-jam to an extent and it takes them longer to turn around apps.

time + app + individual school = application review timetable

Well i understand that, but on average. I applied was complete at most schools early august and still with almost all I have not heard nothing, but others on SDN seem to have. I know my stats are not the best, so i am wondering on average the length of time to receive an invite or rejection.

Sorry to say, but if your stats are not the best, you could be waiting months. People who get invites early on are usually those that schools have strong interest in... so people who are the package deal with good mcat, gpa, EC's, etc. Later interviews are given to people who either apply late or are not as strong of an applicant. There are also those silent rejection schools where you don't hear anything until the end of the season. You can never really tell. Only thing you can do is be patient. It's the hardest part of the whole process.

thanks, yea this whole process requires a ton of patience

👍 Agree. The 'average wait time' is not going to be particularly meaningful. People with great stats probably hear back pretty quickly, people with worse stats wait much longer. Taking the data from applicants that are way different than you and mushing it all together is not going to have much predictive value.

But I feel your pain, the waiting sucks, especially when you've put in a ton of hours and hundreds of dollars to stand in line.
