Is the "expected gpa" listed on Pharmcas school pages the same as the average gpa of accepted students for that school? I went to Touro's website and the average gpa is 3.20 but on pharmcas it said "expected gpa: 3.40".
Are these two the same thing?

Expected GPA is just the GPA that the school anticipates its incoming class in Fall 2008 will have. It's really their guess that could be higher or lower in reality when Fall 2008 comes. The number you got off of Touro's official website is probably the actual average GPA of students entering Touro for the Class of 2010.

My guess is that Touro anticipates either a more competitive applicant pool or taking higher GPA applicants. Yet, Touro could overestimate their expected GPA again (I don't have the numbers though)
