Hey Everybody,

Long story short, I looked up the admissions timeline and saw that AACPMAS outlines that "for priority consideration April 1st of each year for the upcoming Fall admission. The final application deadline date is June 30th of each year for Fall admission of the same year".

My questions are: Do you think I can squeeze into those deadlines? Will a later app kill scholarship chances (are scholarships rolling in this sense)?

What I need to complete:
MCAT
Personal statement/other oddball reqs for each school

Brief Stats:
3.85 GPA BA Biology 2014 expected
Tutoring through the school for 3 years (group and individual)
Summer jobs: CVS, Security Guard, Environmental lab technician
20 hrs shadowing completed
3 solid LOR's lined up

I'm relatively new to the Pod path (<2 months) and am still familiarizing with the app process.

Thanks!

You will be accepted to a school. There may be some scholarships available. The best thing to do would be to call the schools that you are interested in and ask them about the scholarship availability.

You'll need to take your MCAT the very first time it is offered next year (late January). This means that your app, at the very least, won't be considered complete until late February or early March. Just something to think about when you apply.
