Awards?

What did you guys put down for honours/awards on the app? I don't think I have anything to put down for that.... Would it be really bad to leave it blank? Thanks.
 
i agree i dont think its a big deal. but think of anything, i put some dance awards and if you made the deans list put that, if you got any awards or recognition for research put that. really put anything notable but if u dont have anything its not a big deal i dont think.

I left the awards section and the research section blank. Just make up for it with your other sections.
 
I didn't have any, so I put down Dean's & President's list.

Did you graduate with honors? or recieved any recognition for having a high GPA for a particular quarter? At my school if you had a 3.75 or above you got Dean's Honor's for that quarter, so I added that in the Awards secion.

I also did research as an undergad and graduated with Distiction in Major for Research and had a few research grants that I got for my work, so I threw that in the application as well.

Look around, see if you got some recognition for volunteering or having a good semester at school. if you can't don;t stress, people get in with out it.

yea i was on the dean's list last semester, but i feel like it's only one semester and that kinda looks bad - i mean won't they be like " what about all the other semesters"? i guess it's better than nothing.

put that down, like you said it's better then nothing.


plus unless you found a cure for cancer or got the nobel prize, i doubt they admissions pay such close attention to this section. I'm sure they glance over it, but NO BODY ever asked me about that section on my interview.
