Away Rotation Pagers

Quick question. How have people dealt with the need for a pager/beeper on away rotations? Is there some kind of underground pager trading network I could join? Is there a way to just rent a pager for a month?

I assume that many people have gone through this before. Thanks for the help.

From my experience doing away electives last fall, if you needed a pager for a particular rotation, it was usually provided by the hospital you were at.

Our hospital also provides pagers to visiting students. Students just go by the medical student coordinator's office and get one (if they weren't given one during orientation).
