Hello all!
I am a rising MS4 who will be applying into PM&R next year and sadly am not a great candidate based on scores. However, I am extremely passionate about PM&R and am a very hard worker and so was hoping to schedule an away rotation as a means to improve my chances at some programs.

Unfortunately, my DREAM program's academic calendar is vastly different than that at my school.
Moreover, their school's visiting student website directly states not to contact course directors and that course dates cannot be changed.

What should I do?
Some people urged me to contact the course director regardless - is there any harm in this in regards to professionalism, etc.?

Does your school allow you to alter your rotation schedule? Such as split an easy home rotation in two so that you can go for this rotation? If it says do not contact the course directors, I would be cautious about contacting them as it could show that you're not following directions. I would say try talking to you school to see if it is even feasible to alter your home rotation schedule before taking another step.

Plenty of good programs out there. If you are really concerned about it, find another.
