Do people have tips and advice on what I should be doing on away rotations if I really want to go to that institution / get a letter?
I know the obvious things about being enthusiastic, working hard, and being nice but I'm wondering if there was anything else I can do to get in good with the program.
Some people have told me to make an appointment to see the program director to talk to them about your interest. Were there any other pointers people had.
I'm also a little worried about my surgical skills. For some reason, whenever I close trochar sites, I can never get the skin to approximate really well. Anyone have pointers on that? Will my lack of surgical skills kill me or just not set me apart from the middle of the pack.
Thanks guys! Sorry if there is a duplicate post elsewhere.
