I just wanted to make a quick post about an awesome book I read entitled "A Scar is Born: Memoirs of a Surgeon" by Dr. Henry Sonenshein D.O. This creatively humorous and thought provoking work shares some of Dr. Sonenshein's colorful adventures from his days as an intern and ENT surgical resident while taking care of his young family.
Has anyone else read this? I think it should be on the feel good osteopathic book list.

Sounds like a good book from what you have mentioned and the reviews on Amazon. The only crappy thing is that I can't seem to find it anywhere. Hopefully Amazon can get a copy for me. Thanks.

It looks like there is some used copies available on amazon. Also, I might be able to get a copy for you - let me see what I can do and I will send you a PM.

Can you recommend a decent book on DO philosophy? I'm still having a hard time telling how it's really any different, unless the differences are just from old, old times. The only other books I've heard about look to be out of print.

Thanks
