AZCOM Elective Classes

I was looking at the list of electives offered at AZCOM. Does anyone know if these classes are available for 1st years and if they are worth taking for someone looking to go into general surgery?

For me, some interesting classes are:
CLMDG 1301: Research Elective
CLMDG 1315: ECG Interpretation
CLMDG 1350: Essential Procedures
CLMDG 1356: Medical Spanish
CLMDG 1360: Point of Care Ultrasound
CLMDG 1365: Physician Finance and Wellness

All of those are available to 1st years except Essential Procedures.
