Hi, has anyone interviewed at AZCOM yet? I am looking into car rentals right now, but they are so expensive! (at least $50/day). Has anyone taken the bus from the airport to hotel, and then the bus from hotel to AZCOM? If so, is there a direct route and is it fairly easy?

I interviewed there last week. I rented a car from dollar.com and got a pt cruiser convertible for $36 including tax! (i had requested a dodge stratus, but they upgraded me for free). I purchased my hotel through hotwire, a 3-star about 10-15 minutes from campus and it was $40. So with a southwest ticket, the whole thing was pretty damn cheap.

As for the bus, I don't have any input. I know one of the interviewees stayed at a hotel by the school that provides a shuttle. I don't know the name of the hotel, but I think if you call the admissions office, they can tell you.

I interviewed there last Monday. I stayed at the Ramada limited at the arrowhead town center then took a bus to the school. There bus system is pretty good, but I got the route that drop me off litterally right in front of the school. Good luck!

hey thanks, do you remember what the route # was and where the pick-up is? also, how did you get to your hotel? is there a shuttle?

I interviewed there last week. Stayed at Country Inn and Suites. They provide free shuttle to the school and they drop you off right in front of the Admissions office. They also provide free shuttle back to the hotel and the people at the front desk can also arrange for a cab to pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the airport. The cab cost $50 but if there are other interviewees there, you can split the cost with them. In terms of getting from the airport to the hotel, you can take the super shuttle at the airport for about $20, you can also have them pick you up from the hotel if you don't want to take the cab.

It's just a personal preference of mine to rent a car. That way I have control over where I eat, when I leave, etc etc. Esp if it's going to cost $30-40 to get to and from the airport and then more to get around the city. Yuck. No thanks. If you go to the Phoenix International Airport website, they have a link for car rentals. They have them as cheap as $20 (before taxes and fees). Either way, it seems cheaper than pub. trans. Good luck.

Ok, just checked it out in detail. You have to beware of the under 25 fee (if you're under 25 of course). So even after all fees and taxes, an economy car from Enterprise was the cheapest around $45.

I rented a Chrysler Sebring from EZ rentals at the airport for $160 total for 2.5 full days including the under 25 additional fee. I stayed at an airport hotel for like $40 a night...I just didn't want to mess with taxis since the school is a good 25-30 miles from the airport.

It'll be like $50-60 ONE WAY to get from Sky Harbor to AZCOM.

I want to say the route was like 67 then transfered to the 59. It cost me 20 bucks by shuttle from airport, but then I said screw that on the way back and took a bus in the morning. I believe the 59 then transfer to the 13. Hope that helps!
