So I just found out that I am up for review today at AZCOM to see if I will be "granted an interview invitation".

Does anyone else know if they are in todays application due for review?

I was complete at AZCOM on 7/31

Adcom had a meeting until 7 pm last night, hopefully the updates will be available later this afternoon or early next week. I am so anxious… I want the interview now!😀

Yes! I called yesterday. I interviewed on 10/27. Oh, that was an agonizing two weeks - but well worth the wait!

Hi everyone, just wondering if this is just me or is it happening to other people as well. I interviewed at AZCOM on Nov 3rd. I remember the director of admission told us that we can check the result a week from the interview date on "ineract now" account, but my status still says "applied" and it dosen't seem my account has been updated for the past two months because it shows that the school is still expecting my rec letters which I have already sent in early Sept! So just kinda confused here..

Ivy, I wouldn't worry - I can't even get into my account to check for some reason, but if I were you I'd call them today to find out any info. They won't mind!

They will update Interact now in couple of days and also notify you via snail mail.

When I called, they asked for my SSN and she pulled up my profile and told me that I was accepted. Call them again tomorrow and see if you get the same response. If you get the same response, ask them when will they be reviewing your file and make decision. Tell them AZCOM is your first choice. I told them that when I called them last Thrusday.

I am 90% sure that I am going to AZCOM. Unless UMDNJ absolutely knocks my socks off and I get accepted : ) 6 out of 7 interviews DONE as of yesterday. I am so relieved!

Thanks! Good luck on UMDNJ if that's the one you really want to go! I applied there, but never heard from them. May be I'm not from NJ or the surrounding area. Anyways, I'm deciding between AZCOM and Touro-CA now. I'm from the Bay Area, so Touro will be very close to my home, but on the other hand, I really like AZCOM !! 🙂

I'd say you should call them. They are very friendly and will give you an answer if there is one. You can also try interact now. Good luck to everyone.

Has everybody that's been accepted seen their interact now account change? Im not very confident in the reliability of this method of notice. It's not always accurate. But now that they've started to give acceptances, I wonder if they update them more accurately now. That's the long way of asking, has everybody's account changed to matriculating?

well not for me! I called and found out that I got in on Monday, but my status until today still says "applied", so I guess the interact account is not being updated. Also, if you link the account to your e-mail, every time you status changes, you should get an auto e-mail from it.

I am sorry to hear that you have been waitlisted. Just hang in there. If AZCOM is your first choice, try calling them every month to find status of your application. This shows that you are interested in their program. You have already been accepted to KCOM so you know that you are going some where. Good luck and I wish you all the best!!🙂

Send an e-mail or call, then send along a follow-up letter stating it's your first choice, reasons why you want to go there, etc. I think schools really respond to that.

Ivy, when did you interview at Touro-CA? I got accepted there too but AZCOM was a better fit for several reasons (probably the most important was being able to stay in the Phoenix area for most of my rotations, since I will be married by then). Have you made a pro/con list? 🙂

I interviewed at Touro-CA on Oct 24th. One major reason is I'm from the Bay Area and Touro is only 30 mintues drive from my home (so saving a lot of money..). Another reason is I want to do some of my clinical rotations in Las Vegas, NV. I heard a lot of 4th year Touro-CA students do their rotations there since Las Vegas has Touro-NV. What attracts me to AZCOM is the high board score, matching list and school surrounding, so more academic than personal reasons.

However, I'm gonna take this as a sign that maybe a whole new change would be good for me.🙁


In the future, maybe if I'm lucky, I could get my pick of rotations in AZ my 3rd year.
