I'm currently in the RFU BMS program. Obviously I'm focusing on getting an acceptance to CMS but I've also applied to a couple of other MD/DO schools as well. The BMS advisers are able to write a grade update letter to send out to other schools so that they can see our progress in the program. So far I've gotten a B in Medical Biochemistry and Clinical MCB, and then an A in an online health administration class. Would sending out this update do me more harm or good? I know a B isn't spectacular, but these are medical school courses after all. Based on the average exam scores my final grades are in line with the medical school students' average, if not slightly a tick above it, so I don't think there's any shame in that.

@piotrkol1 I heard it's a hard program from our physiology professor who did their studies at RFU. Too bad most people don't know about it.

I hope you still have time to pull that GPA up. A 3.5 is very low in a post bacc like this. Schools expect you to Ace them, and get around a 3.7-3.8.

I would be looking into podiatry schools as well, I think they have one near you.

Two courses post-bac , and one of them a B, is nothing that will make you a more attractive candidate. You should be aceing your post-bac.

Actually I guess I should clarify that this is a SMP, not post-bac. Its graduate coursework including classes with medical students.

The exams are stressful but its doable. There weren't many other programs I found like this one that have good linkage to the medical school.
