mm, yeah, the subject tests are hard for me too... but what i have noticed is that each of them seem to concentrate on a certain few topics... at least the chem and ochem ones.

so, remember that you may only have like 1 or 2 questions about a certain topic... whereas the tests are all made up of only those topics.

Just relax! The real bio on the DAT isnt very hard. I basically used Dat Destroyer, High Yield Biology, Exam Kracker, Achiever, and Kaplan BB and was able to score a 24 in the biology section! To be honest, I thought the Kaplan BB was to very vague and didnt use it much, I looked at the subjects covered in Kaplan, and read the sections in EK. Some here have said that EK didnt help much, but I thought it was excellent for the biology section. One weak area of EK for the DAT is that it doesnt cover much on plants, taxonomy, ecology, and evolution. I know that sounds like alot at first glance, but Achiever covers those section pretty well.

i actually had i think two questions on my exam that were pretty much exactly the same as in the bio subject tests. however, these same questions were also covered in DAT Achiever and another practice exam as well (which goes to show, you REALLY must take practice exams; seriously, while taking the exam, it's as if you were doing just another test becasue of all the exposure you got from the previous exams)

try to take as many practice exams as you can (i took a total of about 11 the week before my exam, which definitely helped); however, i recommend to start taking practice exams 2 weeks before, b/c i kind of got worn out.

I've been through the Kaplan BB biology once. Seemed really vague and didn't learn anything really. I bought the Examcrackers Bio and scanned it. Last night I got the GRE biology which is super dooper good. I lack 3 chapters having it finished and I think it has really helped me. I have taken two topscore biology tests, the diagnosic on kaplan's website, all the bio from that permanent link thread (thanks lifeisgood). I'm about to do the ADA sample test, and later tonight I am buying achiever and will go through those in the morning. That will be around a dozen practice tests. Surely that will be okay, and if it's not - whatever! My test is Wednesday, and the only section I am really worried about is biology b/c as everyone knows, it is so random. I hope I do good on this test. I am totally and completely stressed out. I don't sleep at night, and I hardly eat. I just read and memorize. Read and memorize. Thanks for the input though, I really appreciate it. 🙂
