R O F L 👍

wait, this was a joke.. right?

no its not. wtf is wrong with you ppl. i am serious about getting into medical school and i dont to be hindered by some stupid english class that i took in 10th grade

People probably think it's a joke because you're FREAKING OUT over something so small that really won't hinder your application that's four years away.

Calm down stifler, your grade won't hurt you. How's the pale ale?

You should concentrate your energy on a little something called college?

Seriously tho, relax about the english grade....it won't matter too much.....besides, you have 4 years to bring that horrendous B- up 😀

That's what you get for being an overachiever in high school, haha!

You can't be serious 😀

Stiffy,

Chill out. Pre-meds are mean, but we can't help it, especially when the smell of fresh meat is so strong. Are you attending said Ivy for undergrad or are you going to another school without transfering credits? If you don't use that English credit, or any others from that school, as part of your undergraduate requirements, then it probably won't affect you. If you do have to report it, it still won't have much of an impact because, like you said, it will have been 6 years, in which time you will have maintained a 4.0 while curing cancer, right? Either way, your college performance is more important.

You sound motivated enough, but you might want to let your sphincter relax a wee bit before you implode. 🙂

Dude, I've never even HEARD of anyone getting into med school with a B- on their transcript. Frankly, I'm a little surprised you even got into college. It will certainly be an uphill battle, but good luck!

pffffffff...I have two F's 3 D's, numerous B's, and lots of W's. That is when I could care less about college! Thinking I could get back at my parents. So I screwed up then. Guess what? All I can do is kick some "A" now and see what happens. Believe it or not, I believe I have a good shot at it. You are steps ahead. I'd take txguy's advice, and worry about college. Focus your energy in an effective manner. Freaking out won't change that grade. I'd bet that 90+ percent of accepted pre-meds have at least one if not several more NON-"A" grades from high school and college. My cousin at SLU is one.

Relax, worry not fellow Jedi....

most boring troll ever

yes, seriously lame

do they realize that a sub 4.0, we are talking a real goood 3.7 is a composite of A's and MANY non A's! Even including a sub B or two from time to time!

funniest post i've seen so far...

kid, go have some beer and get laid.

Why must every overachieving high school student on this board always be told to "go get laid"? Pedophiles. 😛

Unless, of course, the objective is to breed more gunners. In that case, I approve. Carry on.

Did somebody say B?????!!!!!!!! Not in here I hope  ?? Please tell me that you are pre-law  ....................... I am sorry I'm still recovering from this past weekends MCAT. Now there is something to freak out about... your whole life is decided in less than eight hours................ I'm sorry I dont think that helped to much either.............. Just listen (or read) the advice that has been posted above, and you should be okay..............

By your third or fourth year of college comes around, if you are like most people, a B- doesn't look so bad.

I'm in med school and I've got a whole bunch of Cs in college, so if you are seriously freaking out you need to chill and not be so stiff.

i laughed so hard i pooped myself.

I think HS kids just doesn't know how tough it is to get an A in college. But then again, he did get a B- in a college course before, so I guess he does know. Anyway, you'll most likely at least get a few more B's in your collegiate career, unless you are like some of the SDNers on here with the crazy stats. I personally got B- before in pre-med reqs. Oh well, I was stupid during my second year. Hope it doesn't kill my app.

Worst episode ever.
