Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible for a bachelors of Music to enter Med-P at McGill University in Montreal?

I am currently in second year of CEGEP, planning on entering Med-P next year, but if ever I do not make it, was wondering if it was necessary to enter an undergrad in a health (or science) field or if I might as well do an undergrad in music (something which at least I know I will like) and then enter Medicine (if it is possible to enter medicine from arts program)?

If not, what programs would be recommended as an undergrad before medicine, and is it necessary to finish that undergrad, or can one re-apply to medicine after only 1 year of that program?

Thank you,
Samuel

I dont see what the big attraction is to med-p. you can do music bachelors then go for medicine. i personally think that a straight bio or biochem major is best for medical school because it exposes you to the type of learning you will be doing there. in engineering, music, business, history, english, physics, spanish, etc. classes, you don't have to learn how to memorize and apply thousands of things in just a few days. but the advantage is minimal, and music will be just fine.
