With schools becoming more competitive how important is a bachelors degree? Also what does everyone plan to do if they don't get accepted?

With schools becoming more competitive how important is a bachelors degree? Also what does everyone plan to do if they don't get accepted?

I'm going for masters in biochem - if I do not get accepted. I'll reapply again since this is only my first year applying but I feel that getting an MS will definately increase my chances of getting in .😀🙂
